Based in central Wells, Somerset, The Lawrence Centre is a community-centred charity providing day opportunities for older people, including those living with health issues and memory loss.

 

Our mission is to provide an accessible and enjoyable environment for our members to relax, socialise, enjoy activities and support, every weekday and one Saturday per month.

    Social Connections

    Our Members have fun and make friends at The Lawrence Centre every weekday and the last Saturday of each month from 10am - 2.30pm. We are committed to making a difference to older people in our community.

    Refreshments & Lunch

    Light refreshments, including hot and cold drinks, and a delicious nutritious lunch are all included in the cost of the daily session.

    Activities & Entertainment

    A variety of creative, engaging and stimulating activities are provided each day to help our Members to keep well, active and as independant as possible.

    Outreach Support

    Our Outreach Service provides flexible support based on companionship at home. Our trained workers identify activities and interests that promote physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

    Respite for Carers

    Our sessions provide some valuable respite for carers from their constraints of caring. We are committed to ensuring that carers are given the information advice and support that is required in a timely fashion.

We recently decided it was time to breathe new life into our outdoor space at The Lawrence Centre and, with some very experienced volunteers on board, we have achieved a beautiful and safe outdoor area for our Members to enjoy.
